TIPS ON BIDDING

Alright, so you found an item you really want, only problem is: it's a bidding-only item. Chances are someone will outbid you. What can you do to make your chances higher that you will win the item? Here's a few tips:

1. Don't make any bids early. You've seen the item, you want it, but don't make any bids...just yet. Put it on your watch list.

2. Find out the maximum amount of money you're willing to spend on this item. Remember to take shipping costs and eventual custom & tax fees inside your budget.

3. Now that you've found out exactly how much you are willing to spend, wait for the auction to come close to an end. When there is only a minute or so left of the auction, enter your maximum bid. (If you have a slow connection, make sure you're able to enter your bid before the auction ends).

There's still a chance someone might outbid you in the last seconds of an auction, but if your maximum is a lot higher than the current bid amount, chances are pretty small. Remember you will win the auction for the last bid before yours - if you bid a maximum of $100.00, and the bidder before you bid $50.00, you will win the auction for $50.00. Just never bid more than you're willing to spend.

If you can't sit up at night waiting for those last minutes of auction end, you can as well enter your maximum bid when you're able to, and check your luck in the morning. Some items do not get many bids, and will not have any bidding-wars on them.

Good Luck!
